ABOUT SIMMONS

Bringing Leadership and Vision to Greeley

Hello Greeley,

I’m Tiffany Simmons, a former teacher, current trauma therapist, small business owner, mom, wife, and proud Greeley native. I didn’t plan to run for office, but I’m running for Mayor because I believe our community deserves leadership that is honest, compassionate, and willing to shake things up to move Greeley forward.

I didn’t grow up dreaming of politics. What I know is how to show up for people. Whether it’s a classroom of kids, a client in crisis, or a neighbor who needs help, I’ve spent my life listening, helping to heal what’s broken, and finding ways forward. That’s the kind of leadership I’ll bring to City Hall.

Across Greeley, I hear the same frustration: decisions are being made without truly applying community input. Billion-dollar projects like Cascadia are moving forward even as basic city services, infrastructure, and improvements are delayed. Your mayor should work for you, not for developers or outside interests. It’s time for Greeley to lead with transparency, responsible spending, and a focus on what our current residents need.

My platform is built on four commitments:

1. The Heart of Greeley

I’m not a politician. I’m not polished or full of curated responses and talking points. What I am is real. A lifelong Greeley resident who knows what it means to show up for this community in honest, everyday ways. I’ve been a teacher working with our students, a trauma therapist supporting people through their hardest moments, a small business owner working to keep doors open, and a mom raising her family here. My roots are deep in this city, and I understand its struggles and strengths because I’ve lived them alongside you.

2. Healing What's Broken

As a trauma therapist, I know that real change starts with listening, not assuming. Right now, a lot of people feel like their voices don’t matter, like decisions are being made without them. I want to change that. Healing Greeley’s trust in leadership means being transparent, leading with compassion, and making space for everyone at the table. That includes addressing mental health head-on. Expanding co-responder programs, supporting crisis-informed training for first responders, and finding real, humane solutions for our unhoused neighbors.

3. Growth That Serves All of Greeley

Growth can’t just be about flashy projects and big numbers. It has to serve the people who live here now. Too often, decisions like Cascadia are made without truly listening to the community, while basic needs like roads, clean water, drainage, and city services are put on hold. I believe in growth that benefits everyone, not just developers or a select few. That means responsible planning, transparent spending, and investing in our existing neighborhoods before chasing billion-dollar deals.

4. A Greeley That Works for Everyone

I want Greeley to be a place where every voice matters, where families can afford to live, and where diversity is celebrated, not just tolerated. This means supporting affordable housing, creating pathways for small businesses to thrive, and ensuring that all communities, across every neighborhood, are part of shaping our city’s future. When we make decisions that include everyone, we build a Greeley that is stronger, kinder, and more connected. I often say: “If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always gotten.” Greeley doesn’t need more of the same. It’s time to shake things up, with leadership that listens, acts with courage, and leads with heart. You'll always get the truth from me, even when it’s messy. I’m ready to roll up my sleeves, fight for a Greeley that works for everyone, and make sure we do this together.
